On the occasion of Arnold Schönberg's 150th birthday, master classes will take place at the Arnold Schönberg Center in Vienna from June 4 to 14, 2024, in the disciplines of Voice, Voice and Piano Duo, Piano Solo and Chamber Music. The master classes are supported by Avenir Foundation Grants of the Arnold Schönberg Center, Vienna/Austria.

The Schönberg Music Mediation Award LEARN TO HEAR, initiated by the Arnold Schönberg Center and in cooperation with the Department of Music Education Research, Music Didactics, and Elementary Music Education (IMP) of the mdw-University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, will be awarded for five consecutive years beginning in 2023.

Henk Guittart, former artistic director of the Schoenberg Ensemble and member of the Schoenberg Quartet, has presented a new arrangement of Arnold Schönberg’s Verklärte Nacht, op. 4 for piano trio.
